An invitation 7 September 2013

This will be the 6th year I have shown my work alongside willow basketmaker Jenny Pearce for h.Art, but it is Jenny's 10th year of participation so we are having a little celebration evening on Saturday 7 September.  You are welcome to join us.

Busy h.Art Weekend

What a lovely first weekend of h.Art!  Beautiful weather twinned with lots of enthusiastic visitors.

It was great to see so many who had visited before and wanted to come back again.

And, of course, to see our loyal customers who come knowing exactly what they are looking for.

If you missed us this weekend we are open daily from 11am till 5pm until Sunday 16 September.  Venue 76 on the h.Art map - head for HR8 2TG and look out for the pink signs.

h.Art Local Arts Trail between Worcester and Hereford

Eight venues in the East of Herefordshire have joined forces to create an easily accessible trail.  From Worcester take the A4103 to Bransford and see sculptor Caro Sweet at venue 65 then Sharon McSwiney's jewellery and metalwork at theThe Fold venue 66, before heading to Cradley.  There you'll find a variety of contemporary art and craft, plus lovely homemade lunches at Blue Ginger Gallery and just next door Carol's jewellery at Silver Fish Designs. 

Next take in the wonderful illustrative stained glass by Tamsin Abbott venue 73 and fine art and craft at GreenStage Gallery venue 72 at Bishops Frome.   

Finally, head to Canon Frome and visit The Timber Store (venue 77) with furniture, jewellery and paintings, before ending your trip with us at venue 76.  We will welcome you with tea and cake which you can enjoy in the cottage garden before taking a stroll around Jenny's willow beds.  See Jenny's basketwork and my lamps and lampshades in the most peaceful setting.

h.Art Open Studios 8-16 September 2012

Once again I will be taking part in Herefordshire Art Week - a fabulous open studio event which features over 154 artists and makers in 110 venues throughout the county.

It's been a manic week, getting two children prepared for starting high school and me ready for h.Art, but thankfully it is not my own studio that will be open.  I will be exhibiting and demonstrating my work alongside basketmaker Jenny Pearce in her studio in Canon Frome.

We are Venue 76 in this year's guide at HR8 2TG.

So do pop in and have a chat over tea and cake!

Spring Garden display

A quick snapshot of part of my stand at the Malvern Spring Gardening Show which runs through until Sunday at 5pm.  The weekend weather for Malvern looks good, so hope to see you there.
