It's h.Art time: 6-14 September

 

Once again I will be taking part in this brilliant event. I'll be displaying my work alongside Jenny Pearce at Venue 26 East.  We'd love to see you.  Over 100 venues throughout Herefordshire will open to reveal the work of 200 designer makers and artists!

Personalised Wedding Presents

At the Malvern show lots of customers were taken by the idea of giving my map lamps as wedding presents or anniversary gifts, so I've been busy sourcing specific old OS maps and bringing them back to life in the form of a table lamp.

Here's a selection of recent commissions:

Reigate in Surrey - a town I used to call home.

A pair of lamps featuring OS maps of the Scottish Highlands

A stunning tall map lamp with the coastline along the Bristol Channel centred on Western-super-Mare.

And finally, Merthr Tydfil and Pontypridd in Wales - what a lovely map that is!

 

 

 

RHS Malvern Spring Festival 8-11 May 2014

Gearing up for the first big show of the season, the renamed Malvern Spring Gardening Show.  The RHS Malvern Spring Festival will showcase the work of 40 members of the Worcestershire Guild of Designer Craftsmen of which I am one.

Since my big trip away over Easter I have been playing catch-up.  Here are a few new lamps made for the show featuring the three counties. 

Left to right we have Cheltenham and Gloucester, the Malvern Hills and Hereford all made from rather lovely reclaimed OS maps.  The shades measure 39cm tall by 20cm in diameter and are on beautifully turned bases by Ray Key.

The show is open from 9am till 6pm Thursday through Sunday.  You'll find the three Craftsmen's Guilds in the Wye Hall at the south west corner of the showground.

Last three days of Ledbury Show

We've had some wonderful comments from visitors to our show at the Weavers Gallery in Ledbury this year and there'll be some happy recipients on Christmas morning!

We close on Saturday at 5pm so if you had your eye on something do pop back before it goes.

For those who haven't yet come, Weavers Gallery is on the left as you head up cobbled Church Lane - HR8 1DW.  We're open 10am till 5pm today, tomorrow and Saturday.
