RHS Malvern Spring Festival 5-8 May 2016

I'll be setting up my stand in the Wye Hall alongside fellow members of the Worcestershire Guild of Designer Craftsmen.  The show is open from 9am until 6pm each day - do come and say hello if you're visiting the show.

 

 

 

New demi-lune lamp for Teddington

For those of you who can't make it to the show in Teddington this weekend, a little peek of a brand new lamp shape to be unveiled at the Contemporary Textiles Fair - a bolder, more contemporary version of my favourite ArtShade half lamp.  It measures 36cm wide, 33cm tall and just 15cm deep.  As always the shade can be made in various colours and stitched designs.  Here is charcoal and turquoise random stripe.

 

Contemporary Textiles Fair 18-20 March Teddington

I'm busy making new work for next week's Textiles Fair in Teddington.

It's the first time I've shown my work there, so I'm looking forward to meeting new customers and new makers.  I've been using OS maps of London and the south east from the 1960s and 70s.  These here feature Richmond-Upon-Thames, Gravesend, Reigate and Epsom.

 

It's rare for me to exhibit outside the three counties of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire, although my customers are far flung!

 

 

 

 

Weavers Gallery - Designed for Christmas 1-12 December

I spent a really lovely day yesterday at the Elmslie House craft fair in Malvern.  A fabulous atmosphere in beautiful surroundings with friendly fellow makers, welcoming hosts and lots of enthusiastic customers.  I look forward to it becoming a regular event.

My next and final show of the year is Designed for Christmas at The Weavers Gallery in Ledbury. 

Joining us this year is the talented Ali Tregaskes with her stunning etched silver jewellery and for those of you who are fans of Sophia Binney's gorgeous glazed pottery, you'll be delighted to know she is flying over from Germany for the last 3 days of the show.

We're open every day (but Sunday) from 1 - 12 December 10am until 4.30pm.

One day event in Great Malvern - 21 November

I've been invited to take part in an inaugural designer craft event at a newly renovated venue in Malvern. Taking place on Saturday 21 November from 11am until 5pm at Elmslie House on Avenue Road (just up from Great Malvern station), it's the perfect venue for a spot of Christmas shopping.

I'll be joining other local designer makers Sue Bibby (embroidery), Guy Butcher (furniture), Sharon Curtis (printmaker & hand-cut paper), Ruth Green (screen prints, gifts) Emma Hardicker (limited edition prints, fabric), Sarah Pinnell (fretwork), Geraldine Poole (textile artist), Josie Seymour-Jones (ceramics), Julia Smith (jewellery) and Rae Stevens (art & illustration).  What a lot of talent!

Tea, coffee, home-made cakes and seasonal goodies available throughout the day.
