This year sees the 9th Big Draw - a campaign to get everyone drawing. 1000 venues throughout the UK including museums, galleries, schools, libraries and community centres are offering activities enabling anyone and everyone to take part. Experiment with pencils, charcoal, clay, digital images and even vapour trails! Or in my case the sewing machine.
My local gallery, blue-ginger in Cradley is holding a 'Pet on a Postcard' event in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice. All you need to do is draw a pet on a postcard in any medium (with your name, contact details and age - if under 19, on the back) and send it asap to Sue Lim, blue-ginger, Home End Farm, Stiffords Bridge, Cradley, near Malvern WR13 5NW.
Then visit the gallery between 15 - 24 October to see the wall of postcards. You can even place a bid for your favourite. There promises to be some entries from famous artists too, so you may bag yourself a valuable original!

The patrons for The Campaign for Drawing include Quentin Blake CBE, David Hockney CH and Gerald Scarfe CBE.
